Ad­vant­ages of the HE­LIOS as­pir­at­ing smoke de­tect­ors

HE­LIOS AMX5000 as­pir­at­ing smoke de­tect­ors de­tect even minute smol­der­ing fires and can be used al­most any­where. They act­ively draw air samples from the pro­tec­tion zone and ana­lyze them in a meas­ur­ing cham­ber. In ad­di­tion to a pre-sig­nal and con­tam­in­a­tion as­sess­ment, the de­tector also of­fers the pos­sib­il­ity of ad­just­ing the sens­it­iv­ity in ac­cord­ance with the unit's gen­eral use. Minimax as­pir­at­ing smoke de­tect­ors are mul­ti­func­tional de­tect­ors that re­spond to vari­ous fire char­ac­ter­ist­ics through com­bined meas­ur­ing cham­ber sys­tems. Thus, fires are already de­tec­ted at an early stage.

Design and func­tion

The HE­LIOS AMX5000 as­pir­at­ing smoke de­tector con­sists of one or two in­de­pend­ent suc­tion lines with suc­tion open­ing and one highly sens­it­ive smoke sensor. Each suc­tion line is con­stantly mon­itored via an air stream mon­it­or­ing sys­tem in order to identify pipe breaks and dirt at the suc­tion open­ing. A high-power fan sucks air from the area or device to be mon­itored through the suc­tion line to an eval­u­ation unit. Here, the air is con­stantly eval­u­ated by the smoke sensors. The dis­play and op­er­at­ing fields of the eval­u­ation unit show the smoke con­cen­tra­tion in the as­pir­ated air, in ad­di­tion to other alarm, fault and status no­ti­fic­a­tions. Any in­crease in the smoke con­cen­tra­tion is iden­ti­fied ex­tremely quickly. Three pre-sig­nals and one main alarm can be pro­grammed, which can be trans­ferred to the Loop AP via a po­ten­tial-free relay or mod­ule.
